Win - Metamora Hot air Balloon Festival

August 27-28, 2010

Metamora Country Days and Hot Air Balloon Festival was a huge success and we were blessed with perfect weather. On Friday evening, FlyBalloons.net pilot Travis Gauthier dropped his marker dead center on the target X giving him first place for the evening and declared the overall winner of the event. On Saturday evening, his father Joe Gauthier, out maneuvered more than 25 other competitors to score a 1 meter drop, giving him 1st place in the Hare and Hound event.

We are very proud to say that FlyBalloons.net pilots are some of the most talented in Great Lakes area.

Dawn McKenzie (center) is the overall winner.  Rob Mihaly (left) came in second, and Ted Gauthier (right), Dawn's father was third.  Congratulations to all!

This is not the first time that Pilots from FlyBalloons.net have done well. Dawn McKenzie and her father, Ted Gauthier, showed their skills and flying abilities at the Findlay, Ohio event in 2006, where Ted was the Champion and Dawn placed second overall. Read the story
